ARGOS S.A. was founded in 1998 to operate as an agent and distributor of newspapers and magazines. It is currently the leading press distribution agency in Greece. Its activities also include the marketing of fast moving consumer goods to small sales outlets and the development of high profile press shops.The press is distributed in the whole of Greece through a network of 50 representatives in the regions and 60 vendors in Athens-Piraeus-Thessaloniki at 9.000 sales outlets. The company also has a network of representatives abroad.
Marketing
Having a network of clients throughout Greece, the support of the press distribution net of ARGOS S.A. and by daily putting our motto "Everyday by your side!" into action, our company's aim is to expand its activities to new and dynamically growing markets by providing more advantages and profits to its clients.
PRESSPOINT
The company runs the retail shops that sell newspapers, books, magazines, travel and tourist items, confectionery and other related products in the premises of the Athens International Airport. It employs about 70 people and uses rented facilities (storage space and offices) in the airport area.
PRESS CENTERS
The program was launched in 2002 on the initiative of the ARGOS representatives' network in regional areas under the name PRESS CENTERS. Today, there are 68 PRESS CENTERS in operation.
PRESS GALLERY
The first PRESS GALLERY store opened in Athens, in 2008, in the Doukisis Plakentias Metro station and the second operates, since 2009, in the Golden Hall shopping mall at Marousi.
The third store opened in 2010 in Athens, inside of Athens Metro Mall in Agios Dimitrios.
At these stores one can find all Greek press publications, as well as foreign press, books, paper items and other products.
